The mid-term renewal elections for the Journalists Syndicate, held on Friday at the headquarters of the Teachers Syndicate Club, witnessed a massive turnout of members of the General Assembly to participate in the elections.

The elections began at four o'clock in the afternoon, and voting is scheduled to continue until eight in the evening, provided that the count will take place after the completion of the vote and the closure of the committees directly.

The General Assembly of the Journalists Syndicate elects the president and 6 members of the Syndicate Council. Elections are held in 32 electoral committees inside the Teachers Club headquarters on the island in addition to one committee at the union’s sub-union headquarters in Alexandria.
