Zamalek lost the African Plane title to Tunisian Esperance 3-0

The men's volleyball team of Zamalek lost the African Club Championship title by defeating Tunisia's Esperance, 3/0, at its home in the African Clubs Championship in Tunisia.

The results of the runs were as follows, 20/25 - 25/23 - 25/10.


Zamalek failed to win the sixth African championship in the African Championships Cup at Zamalek Club, where the team previously crowned the title in 1984, 1987, 2008, 2009 and 2012.


Zamalek players did not show their usual level, especially in the third game, when the morale of the players decreased and ended with an unexpected result, and there was no club other than the first and second half, which witnessed a great convergence in the level before Esperance ended them in his favor.


Zamalek had qualified for the final by beating Al-Sowahli Al-Libi 3/0, while Esperance qualified by beating Al-Kulaiby Al-Tunisi with the same result in the semi-finals.


Zamalek was also able to achieve the full mark in the first round of the championship, after it succeeded in defeating the Kenyan GSU with a score of 0/3 in its first confrontation, and the Congolese Espoir in its second confrontation with the same result, and finally the Nigerian customs 3/0 as well.


The list of players participating in the African Championship in Tunisia includes: Ahmed Youssef, Mustafa Dabsha, Ahmed Diaa, Ahmed Abdel-Al "Darunka", Muhammad Reda, Ashraf Laqani, Ahmed Fathy, Reda Heikal, Hisham Yousry, Rashad Shibl, Mohamed Moa, Mohamed Magdy and Mohamed Mohsen, and the Canadian professional Esteve Hunt instead of Saif Abed.
