Minister of Industry: The government is keen to attract more international investments and expertise

Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, held an extended meeting with officials of BSH (one of the companies of the International Robert Bosch Group) headed by Louis Alvarez, CEO of "BSH Home Appliances - Egypt". The meeting dealt with the company's expansion strategy in the Egyptian market and the company's new project in Egypt. For the production of household appliances, the meeting was attended by the Minister, Commercial Commissioner Mohamed El Sayed, Director of Europe Department at Commercial Representation, Murad Jundi, Project Manager at BSH, and Ahmed Riad, Financial Director of the company.

The minister said that the meeting reviewed the company's new project in Egypt for the production and manufacture of household appliances in the tenth of Ramadan, which aims to meet the needs of the Egyptian market in terms of household appliances and export to a number of markets in the Middle East and Africa.


Jameh stressed the government's keenness to attract more international industrial investments and expertise to the Egyptian market, in a way that would contribute to increasing economic growth rates, upgrading national industry, upgrading the quality and competitiveness of Egyptian industrial products, and creating more job opportunities.


The minister pointed out that the company's expansion plans in the Egyptian market are aimed at meeting the needs of the local market and exporting to global regional markets, noting that the company's new project in Egypt will contribute to the localization of German industrial technologies in the field of household appliances in the Egyptian market.


For his part, Louis Alvarez, CEO of BSH Home Appliances - Egypt, affirmed the company's keenness to invest and expand in the Egyptian market as it is one of the most important manufacturing and export hubs in the Middle East and Africa, indicating that the company signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the project with the Egyptian government during In 2019, all project procedures are being completed in preparation for the start of the construction process.


He pointed out that the first phase of the project is being built on an area of ​​80 thousand square meters and contributes to providing more job opportunities and depends on the latest global technologies in the field of home appliances industry.
