Saudi Arabia: preparing 3,655 mosques for Eid al-Fitr prayers in the Asir region

The branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance in Asir region has finished equipping additional mosques and mosques in support of the open mosques and chapels for the Eid al-Fitr prayers for this year, bringing a total of 3,655 in all governorates and centers of the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Director General of the Ministry's branch in the region, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Khairy, said that the approval of these additional mosques and chapels comes in implementation of the Ministry's instructions to expand the number of mosques in support of mosques and chapels to reduce overcrowding and apply precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus, and take into account all safety measures in them.

He explained that the branch provided volunteer opportunities by the Voluntary Work Unit administration for those wishing to volunteer work, in order to contribute to implementing procedures and organizing the entry and exit of worshipers.
