The Federation of Chambers of Commerce appreciates the President’s initiative and is studying ways to participate in the reconstruction of Gaza

The General Federation of Chambers of Commerce is conducting intensive contacts with its employees to integrate with the initiative of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to provide Egypt with an amount of 500 million dollars as an Egyptian initiative allocated for the benefit of the reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip as a result of recent events.

This was stated by Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Arabi, President of the Union, who confirmed that the loyal sons of Egypt, merchants, makers, and service providers who exceed 5 million affiliates throughout Egypt will not be late in integrating with the initiative of His Excellency the President to support their brothers in the Gaza Strip within the framework of the partnership of the government and the private sector in all initiatives.

Al-Arabi explained that the Minister of Trade and Industry has been written to issue a ministerial decision to accept donations from the chambers' employees for the benefit of reconstruction, indicating that the chambers are contacted in all governorates to urge their affiliates to donate in-kind building materials and reconstruction requirements, as well as the participation of engineering consultancy offices and contracting companies to implement the reconstruction.

Al-Arabi added that those efforts would be complemented by collecting food and medical aid from the chambers' employees to send them to the brothers in Palestine, in coordination with the government.
