The Minister of Housing leaves Cairo to follow up the situation of the Tanzania Dam and Power Station project

Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, left Cairo Airport today, at the head of an Egyptian delegation to inspect the progress of work and follow up on the executive position of the Julius Nyerere Dam and Power Station project to generate hydroelectric power, in the Federal State of Tanzania.


The Egyptian delegation includes Mohamed Essam El Din Ramadan, Assistant Minister of Housing, Major General Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction and Head of the Project Follow-up Committee, and officials of the Egyptian consortium implementing the project, "the Arab Contractors and El Sewedy Electric", headed by Eng. Sayed Farouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company. The Arab Contractors, Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy, CEO and Managing Director of El Sewedy Electric Group, Eng. Ahmed El Assar, First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Contractors Company, and Engineer Wael Hamdy, Vice President of El Sewedy Electric Group.


Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar confirmed, in a press statement, today, Friday, that there are mandates by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to periodically follow up on this project, given its utmost importance to the brothers in Tanzania, so the work site is visited periodically.
