The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to intervene immediately to compel Israel to stop the brutal military attack on Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians and the destruction of their homes.

This came in the Sultanate’s speech, delivered by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, today, Sunday, during the meeting of the open-ended Executive Committee at the ministerial level of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, via video call. To discuss the attacks carried out by Israel in the Palestinian territories, especially the Holy City of Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

The Sultanate expressed its condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' incursion into the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its rejection of the policies and procedures for the displacement of the brotherly Palestinian people from their homes in the city of Jerusalem, affirming its firm position in support of the legitimate rights to establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
