Yasser Rayan: Al-Ahly's performance against Sun Downs is not reassuring, but the result is comfortable

Yasser Rayan, the former Al-Ahly star, confirmed that the performance of the red team in which the players appeared against Sun Downs in the first leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals is not reassuring to the fans, despite winning a clean double.

Ryan said in a statement on the seventh day, that winning a double is a comfortable result for the team before the second leg in South Africa, noting that the conditions of the match caused no player to appear with the best performance since the start due to the acquisition of the South African team.

Ryan indicated that Al-Ahly is able to go out to the return leg to safety, correct the situation in South Africa and return to the Formula.

Al-Ahly scored a double Taher Mohamed Taher and Salah Mohsen, and Al-Ahly will meet the Sun Downs in the return match in South Africa next Saturday.

Al-Ahly played the match with a formation consisting of: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Rami Rabia, Badr Bannon, Mohamed Hani, Ayman Ashraf, Amr Al-Soulia, Diang, Hussein Al-Shahat, Mohamed Magdy Qafsha, Taher Mohamed Taher, and Mohamed Sharif.

Despite winning Al-Ahly, the holder of the African Champions League title, the performance was not good in most periods of the match, and Al-Ahly players appeared completely far from their level during many parts of the match, and the Senegalese referee appeared modestly, and refused to count two correct penalty kicks for Al-Ahly, as a result of roughness and obstruction of Mohammed Sheriff twice in the guest penalty area.

Junior Ajay participated after a period of absence in place of Taher Mohamed Taher and played in the 75th minute, and Bwalia and Mahmoud Wahid participated in place of Mohamed Sharif and Ayman Ashraf, and the last minutes witnessed a mutual attack.
