Al-Ahly postpones the settlement of the file to include a goalkeeper because of Africa

Al-Ahly club officials postponed the idea of contracting a new goalkeeper until the completion of the current edition of the African Champions League, in light of the red team's preparations to face Tunisia's Esperance next Saturday in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly club officials are studying contracting with a new goalkeeper or closing the file permanently, according to the vision of the technical staff, which will determine its final position at the end of the current season, in light of the absence of a strong alternative to Muhammad Al-Shennawi in the ranks of the Red Genie, despite the presence of the duo Ali Lotfi and Mustafa Schubert.

Among the reasons that prompted Al-Ahly officials to sign a goalkeeper is the interest of foreign clubs in contracting with Mohamed El-Shennawy after his remarkable brilliance with Al-Ahly and the Egyptian national team, and the Red Castle officials want the red administration to spare the inclusion of a distinguished goalkeeper in anticipation of the departure of the giant goalkeeper.

Among the most prominent names nominated to support Al-Ahly's ranks are Ahmed El-Shennawy and Mahdi Suleiman, goalkeepers from Pyramids, and Mohamed Bassam, goalkeeper of the Vanguards of El-Jaish.

Al-Ahly technical director Pitso Musimani is trying to prepare his players, technically and morally, to face Tunisian Esperance next Saturday, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League, by asking the players to play with full force and to continue to perform the performance they showed in the first leg in Tunisia.

Musimani was keen to hold lectures to explain the mistakes that Al-Ahly players made in the first leg of Rades, to prevent their recurrence in the return match in Cairo.
