Benzema: I hope Mbappe joins Real Madrid.. That would be ideal

French star Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid striker, confirmed his desire for his compatriot Kylian Mbappe, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, to join the ranks of the royal team, next season, noting that the desire of great players has always been to play for Real.

Benzema is currently accompanied by Mbappe in the camp of the French team (world champion), which is preparing to compete in the European Nations competition "Euro 2020", which will start with the participation of 24 teams next Friday in 11 European cities.

"I want Mbappe to come to Real Madrid, that would be ideal," Benzema said in statements during his presence at the France national team camp. "All the great players want to come to Real Madrid one day."

He continued, "So I hope that he joins Real quickly, at least if he has a desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain. It is a good team as well. Mbappe is a nimble, fast, efficient player who is good at doing everything."

Reports had indicated that Real Madrid was willing to pay from 130 to 150 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, in order to sign young star Kylian Mbappe during the transfer season.

Mbappe's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of next season, and the player has so far refused any attempts by his club's management to extend his contract, due to his desire to play for Real.

Mbappe was crowned the best player in the French league this season 2020-2021, and for the third season in a row, after the impressive levels presented by the Paris star.

Mbappe participated with Paris Saint-Germain in 31 matches in the French League in the ending season, and the Paris star scored 27 goals and provided 7 assists.
