Russia: Moscow and Washington have launched an exchange mechanism on cybersecurity

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said today, Wednesday, that Moscow and Washington were able to launch a serious dialogue in Geneva and launch the exchange mechanism on cybersecurity.


In statements reported by "Russia Today" channel, the deputy minister indicated that a well-developed mechanism was proposed, but to achieve the desired result, cooperation must be reciprocal.


"We were able to launch a very deep and thoughtful exchange with the United States on these issues, which became one of the important components of the overall achievements of the meeting. The only way to achieve effective results is mutual cooperation, the participation of both sides, including all relevant institutions of the two countries," Ryabkov added. Otherwise, it will end, as has always been the case during cooperation with the United States on many issues."


On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its "Su-30SM" fighter escorted an American reconnaissance plane over the Sea of ​​Okhotsk.


The National Defense Management Center of the ministry confirmed, according to the "Russia Today" news channel, that the fighter took off after monitoring means of airspace control of the Russian army, today, Wednesday, a target flying over the Sea of ​​Okhotsk towards the state border.


The fighter revealed that the aforementioned target was a "Boeing RC-135" reconnaissance plane belonging to the US Air Force and escorted it over the waters of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk.
