The coach of the youth team reveals the scenes of the last preparations before the Arab Cup

Mahmoud Jaber, coach of the youth team, born in 2003, revealed the latest scenes in the preparations for the Young Pharaohs for the Arab Youth Cup, which will be held in Egypt from June 20 to July 6 next.

Jaber said in statements to the “One Two” program with the media, Saif Zaher: We started our camp since May 27, after the end of the Republic League, born in 2003, they started late, but we gathered the players and we have a good group. We played five friendly matches, the last of which was the Iraq match, and the performance was distinguished and I did not focus The results are more than the performance development.

He added: The players got along with each other and finished the friendly meetings and are preparing for the tournament that will start next Sunday, the young age groups cannot judge the strong and the weak from the teams, so I consider all the teams a first classification, and I consider Niger and Mauritania no less powerful than Algeria, even if they were unknown to us.

He concluded: We needed a longer preparation time because 3 weeks is not enough time, but we are trying to provide a good performance.

The tournament draw resulted in the following groups:

Group A: Egypt, Niger, Mauritania and Algeria

Group B: Morocco, Tajikistan, UAE and Djibouti

Group C: Senegal, Lebanon, Iraq and Comoros

Group D: Tunisia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and a fourth team to be determined later

It is noteworthy that Senegal won the title of the last edition of the Arab Youth Cup, which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 16 teams.
