The Palestinian Foreign Ministry holds the Israeli government responsible for the escalation in Jenin

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli escalation against the Palestinians in Jenin, which resulted in the death of 3 people and the serious injury of another.

The ministry also condemned, in a statement reported by the Palestinian News Agency, the occupation forces’ storming of the city of Al-Bireh, the continuation of the ongoing ethnic cleansing campaigns against Jerusalemites and their displacement operations, as well as the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the town of Silwan, holding the Israeli government responsible for this dangerous escalation and its repercussions, at the level of Arab and regional efforts. and international efforts to stabilize the truce and stop the aggression.

The ministry confirmed that this escalation was behind the outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an attempt to save himself and solve his crises to remain in power in Israel at the expense of Palestinian blood and the suffering of our people.

The ministry called on the various human rights and humanitarian organizations to quickly document these crimes to submit them to the International Criminal Court, the Human Rights Council and the relevant UN bodies, at the same time calling on the International Criminal Prosecutor to start her investigations into the crimes of the occupation and settlers, leading to their trial before the international judiciary.

The ministry said - in its statement - "It is time for the international community to put an end to the impunity of the occupation, subject it to accountability, and force it to abide by international law and international legitimacy and its decisions, if the international community wants to preserve what remains of its credibility."
