68 people were killed and 1,803 others were injured in 1,434 traffic accidents in Algeria during the period from 4 to 10 July.

 

According to a weekly toll announced, today, Tuesday, by the Algerian Civil Protection, the largest toll was in Constantine, with 11 people killed and 59 injured, following 52 traffic accidents.

 

She added that during the same period, the civil protection units carried out 163 awareness-raising operations reminding citizens of the need to respect the rules of quarantine and social distancing, in addition to carrying out 96 general sterilization operations that included several public and private facilities, residential complexes and streets.

 

She explained that the civil protection units made 3,115 interventions to put out 2,441 different fires, in addition to 6,948 interventions to cover 6,293 ambulance operations and rescue people in danger.
