Algeria is studying the possibility of moving towards connecting electrical networks with Europe

The head of the Algerian Electricity and Gas Company (Sonelgaz) Shaher Boulkhrass said that the company is studying the possibility of moving towards connecting electrical networks with Europe.

Boulkhras added, in press statements, that this project depends on prerequisites that must be met, namely the market and a partnership to implement the interconnection network.

He stressed that electric production and transportation can constitute good opportunities for investment and partnership, explaining that Sonelgaz is also betting on partnerships with European institutions, especially French, in order to enter the African market.
