Minister of Industry: Issuing more than 1,200 licenses to transfer projects to the official sector


Nevin Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry and CEO of the Enterprise Development Authority, confirmed that the presidential initiative "Dignified Life" adopted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and all ministries and government institutions participate in its implementation, represents one of the Egyptian state's most important plans to achieve sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030, and is considered the largest An initiative in the Egyptian history to change the rural villages for the better and bring about a qualitative shift in the lives of citizens in the villages and centers most in need in all economic, social, environmental and health aspects.

 

She added: "The initiative also contributes to working to solve the problems that the Egyptian countryside has long suffered from and relying on the implementation of this ambitious initiative to exploit the youth's energies and creative abilities to develop their communities and use local resources in implementing the various components of the initiative to be a purely Egyptian initiative planned by sincere experiences and implemented by young minds To pave the way for the emergence of a new generation that feels a sense of belonging and pride in the new republic and actively participates in production and development.”


Nevin Jameh indicated, in a press statement, today, Sunday, that economic development is one of the most important axes on which the initiative depends to improve the standard of living of citizens in the targeted areas and encourage youth and women to self-employment and self-employment as one of the most important tools of the economy to increase income and provide job opportunities.



She explained that the Enterprise Development Authority chairs the Economic Development Committee emanating from the initiative, and since the start of the initiative's implementation, in coordination with the various ministries and institutions concerned, has drawn up a comprehensive plan to expand the programs it implements to educate citizens in the centers and villages of the presidential initiative about the idea of ​​self-employment and to familiarize them with all the services provided by the state to support the enterprise sector. Small businesses through the Enterprise Development Agency in the field of financing, training and technical support.

 

Nevin Jameh added that the agency’s branches in all governorates provide integrated technical services to citizens in these areas to develop their skills and capabilities to help them set up small projects, and the project service units in the governorates assist them in obtaining all necessary documents to establish new projects or transfer their informal projects to the official sector, in addition to To help them in marketing their products, enabling them to continue and expand their projects.


Nevin Jameh explained that the agency’s branches, in cooperation with the concerned governorates, since the beginning of this year until June, have organized more than 500 seminars to educate citizens at the level of villages and centers about the services provided by the Enterprise Development Agency and how to obtain these services and take advantage of the new facilities provided by the Enterprise Development Law 152 for the year 2020 in the field of establishing projects, mechanisms for obtaining financing, tax incentives and assistance in the field of marketing. With regard to the field of training and developing the skills of citizens.


Nevin Jameh added that 65 training courses were organized, benefiting more than 1,000 male and female trainees, during which they were introduced to the basics of starting small projects and how to develop their existing projects. The service units in the governorates targeted by the initiative issued 645 final operating licenses, 698 temporary licenses, and 71 regularization licenses for projects. It works in the informal sector and has been transferred to the formal sector. 783 classification certificates for projects and 159 certificates for projects were issued to benefit from the benefits stipulated in the Enterprise Development Law, in addition to 471 tax cards, 120 commercial records and 279 social insurance certificates.


She explained that more than 2,800 non-financial services were provided to citizens, represented in obtaining integration services between projects, assistance in preparing feasibility studies, registration in the suppliers' register in government agencies, nomination to participate in various exhibitions organized by the agency or participating in its organization, and displaying projects' products in major commercial chains.
