Saudi Arabia provides new lighting systems in the Grand Mosque to increase the capacity in the end

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, represented by the Engineering Projects and Studies Agency, provided the first three samples of new chandeliers to illuminate the Grand Mosque; A project to increase the capacity of the terminal, which is specially designed for the building, to serve the pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims.

And the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques - according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA" - stated that the chandeliers, which are characterized by their design consistent with the unique architectural character of the Grand Mosque, are equipped with an energy-saving lighting system, made of stainless steel, and plated with 24 karat gold, with a thickness of 2 microns, and each weighing 280 kg. With a layer of Lacquer protection that is highly resistant to scratches and shocks, with a diameter of 2.38 m, fixed for all floors of the terminal building, and a height of up to 3600 mm, which varies according to the floors of the building.

She explained that 114 chandeliers will be provided for the ground floor of the Mataf building, and 8 chandeliers for the first floor, while 123 chandeliers will be allocated for the first floor, mezzanine, with a total of 245 chandeliers for the entire project
