The Tunisian president said that the measures he took are temporary due to the deepening of the crisis, and that freedoms will not be affected in any way.

Reuters news agency said that the Tunisian president told civil society leaders that he would protect the democratic path, rights and freedoms.

In accordance with the credit 80 of the Tunisian constitution, President Kais Saied took decisions to freeze all the powers of the House of Representatives, lift the immunity of all members of Parliament, and relieve Prime Minister Hisham Al-Mashishi from his post.
