Aqila Saleh: The presidential election law is within a week, and the elections are on time

 The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, said that the House is ready to adopt the presidential election law within a week or two, stressing that the elections will take place on time on December 24.

He added, in a statement today, Monday, reported by the Libyan Al-Wasat Gate, that the elections are wanted by the people and are the only way out of the Libyan crisis, and that canceling them will lead to division, chaos and the continuation of the war.

The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, called on all parliamentarians to attend the session scheduled for next Monday to vote and decide on a draft law on the state’s general budget, issue the presidential and parliamentary elections laws, approve the distribution of electoral districts throughout the country, and respond to the Presidential Council regarding the nomination of a chief of Libyan General Intelligence.

 The spokesman for the Libyan House of Representatives, Abdullah Blihaq, explained in a video speech that the Speaker of the House called on the House of Representatives to assume their responsibilities and attend the session, stressing that given the situation the country is going through, the mentioned benefits will be accomplished in the next session with whomever attends.
